Sherri Shepherd Marries In Chicago

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Just two days after The View co-host Joy Behar tied the knot with her longtime love, another View co-host has taken the plunge! Sherri Shepherd married her fianc, TV writer Lamar Sally, at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago on Saturday, People reports. The talk show personality & 30 Rock actress had eight bridesmaids, including her fellow View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Niecy Nash and Yvette Nicole Brown (of Community fame), according to the mag, and was escorted down the aisle by her 6-year-old son, Jeffrey. The bride, 44, kept her Twitter followers up to speed in the moments leading up to the ceremony, Tweeting, Sitting in the room in my gown waiting for Sal& groomsmen to take their pics Cant let him see me b4 the wedding but Im bored as heck. What happens when you are in your wedding dress and you have to tinkle? she later added. Uh-oh! As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Lamar proposed to Sherri over the on Dec. 26, 2010 - according to the stars rep. Upon arriving back to Lamars home in Los Angeles from a trip to San Diego, Sherri was surprised to find their accommodations had been decorated with lights by one of Sals best friends, her dog was wearing a Santa beard and hat, and, in the middle of a dish of Sherris favorite, but forbidden, M&Ms (she is diabetic), was a tiny little box, Sherris rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood at the time. Lamar asked Sherris son first before proposing to his ladylove of more than a year he also sweetened the deal by giving Jeffrey a Michael Jackson Wii game, the rep said.
